Internet Support Technician
Location: Midland, Ontario
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $10.00 Hourly, up to 40 Hours per week, Other Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting: Electronics specialty shop
Specific Skills:
- Communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
- Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
- Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
- Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
Work Setting:
- Computer hardware or software retailer/wholesaler
- Telecommunications industry
- Computer systems unit
- Internet Service Provider (ISP)
Computer and Technology Knowledge:
- Windows, MAC, Hardware, Device drivers, Networking software
- Networking hardware, Networking security , Internet, Servers
- Applications - desktop, Security software, Mail server software, Electronic mailing software
