Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc.

In 1993, three local businessmen discussed the concept of creating a technologies company to service the growing needs of residents and businesses in Simcoe County. This company would be all-encompassing and provide a one-stop centre for computer products, services and training. In the spring of 1994, after a year of meticulous planning, the corporation of Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. was established and the doors were opened on Cranston Crescent. Beginning with the three partners and four staff members, the company was embraced by our community, and its reputation for great customer service and reliable products grew quickly. Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. became both a Compaq (now Hewlett Packard) Certified Partner and Warranty Centre to compliment its clone computer offerings, and has grown to Premier Partner status, and a Microsoft Solution Provider.

1996 saw the Internet as a rapidly growing market. Still in its early stages, Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. recognized the potential of this market and its value to its growing customer base. We became an agent for an Internet company based in Barrie, Ontario. After a year as an agent, Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. ventured into becoming an Independent Internet Service Provider, and in 1997 launched Compu-SOLVE Internet Services in Midland and at the Kozlov Centre in Barrie. This venture proved fruitful, as the Internet Division of Compu-SOLVE has grown to where it is now a leading ISP in Simcoe County, servicing residential and small to large businesses across Ontario and Quebec. Service offerings range from High Speed Internet, Dial-up Services, and Domain and Web Hosting. Over the years, we have designed and developed several products for our customers including the very popular VScan anti-virus solution, and SpamALERT spam filter, which enhance our customer’s internet experience. Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. expert staff are also trained to implement all manner of networks ranging from home to enterprise environments. We use our strong partnerships with companies like Cisco Systems and Foundry Networks to ensure the highest levels of reliability and security.

Compu-SOLVE Internet Services Barrie location was moved in 1999 from the Kozlov Centre to 520 Bryne Drive. This move was done to facilitate the migration of our Internet infrastructure from Midland to Barrie and take advantage of a newly increased local calling area in Barrie. Compu-SOLVE Internet Services was now able to offer services to not only all of its existing customers, but also to most of Simcoe County. Our internet equipment is on display at this location where our friendly, professional staff can provide you with all of your internet and wireless needs.

In 1999, the head office of Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. was moved from its Cranston Crescent location to 357 King Street. This move was done to make our company more accessible to our customers. This move to the downtown core, allowed for a more retail friendly environment without affecting the service to our corporate customers.

Wireless communications, in the form of a Telus dealership, became part of Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. offerings in 2002. This partnership has developed in to one of Ontario’s highest ranking dealers in less than three years. With products ranging from PCS phones, Mike Phones and Blackberry Handhelds, Compu-SOLVE’s customer care representatives are certain to have a wireless product to suit any residential or business customer.

In September 2004, Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. purchased the building at 361 King Street. After extensive renovations, the doors were opened just in time for Christmas in December 2004.  Our showroom is designed for our customers to view our full range of products in a comfortable, child friendly, professional atmosphere. Sparked by Compu-SOLVE Technologies Inc. contribution to enhancing the downtown area, and our dedication to our customers, the company and its ownership have been recognized with the South Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce President’s award in February of 2005.

Eleven years of doing business in Simcoe County has had many changes. Our company has evolved from a seven person organization in to twenty seven. Our locations in both Barrie and Midland have changed, and our product lines have grown. What has not changed is our goal of providing the best possible customer service imaginable. Our amazing staff of twenty-six is led by our president, Les Tutkaluke, to strive to achieve excellence.
