About Wildfire
Wildfire Outdoor Education Centre is nestled in beautiful central Ontario, better known as Huronia. We’re located approximately 90 minutes from Toronto and only a few minutes from a wealth of cultural and natural history sites. The resort is only 20 minutes northwest of Barrie.
Guests experience the great outdoors and participate in programs while enjoying the comfort of our winterized lodge, one of North America’s largest “Pan abode” cedar structures. The 12,000 square foot lodge sits on 85 wooded-acres along the beautiful Wye River.
Wildfire features forested and meadowed grounds where you can enjoy nature in all its glory. The lodge’s large central hall features a huge fieldstone fireplace for groups to gather around. We also have a number of smaller breakout rooms for your learning needs.

Overnight Accommodation
Wildfire offers affordable lodging; we accommodate up to 72 guests comfortably. The lodge has separate girls and boys dorms on two separate floors. Each room sleeps four individuals. The rooms are equipped with bunk beds and baseboard heating. Wildfire has a number of centrally located washrooms and showers.
Convenient Amenities
Teacher and trainers have access to our TV/DVD/VCR, audio equipment and overhead projector.
Great Food
We provide you with plenty of healthy nutritious food, carefully prepared to meet everyone’s dietary requirements. Meals served in our dining area include: Full breakfast, lunch, dinner, three snacks and unlimited fruit and beverages during your stay.

For your convenience, Wildfire has office space available 24 hours day including telephone, fax, e-mail and photocopy machine.
Safety first
Medical emergency services are accessible within 15 minutes of our lodge. Wildfire’s facilities are safe, clean, and comfortable; we conform to all provincial Health, Fire and Safety Standards. All Wildfire staff members have under gone police screening checks and First Aid/CPR training.
Low cost programs
Wildfire’s quality programs are reasonably priced. Please ask us for a Fee Schedule. We ’ll take care of all the arrangements including: your chosen off-site activities and recreational programs, transportation between sites, accommodations, meals and snacks.
